The HyperPac from Hypertech is a performance automotive computer that comes with all the performance tuning features of the Max Energy programmer as well as supporting a large array of data monitoring and testing applications all in one easy to use handheld unit. The high-resolution, 3" x 4" touch screen display makes navigation of menus quick and easy, as menus are designed to be straightforward and user friendly. Once plugged into your vehicles industry standard on-board diagnostic port (OBD-II port), you can apply performance tuning based on fuel type, run dyno tests to see gains from performance tunes or aftermarket parts, preform runs like you are at the drag stripe, or monitor engine and transmission functions using user selected display outputs with options such analog or digital gauge menus. You can also read and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) and clear check engine lights.
The included drag stripe function produces a "christmas tree" menu display just like the track and allows you to monitor real-time engine data before and after the run. This menu will report back time slips, a magazine-like menu showing acceleration times and drive-wheel horsepower versus vehicle speed for each run.
The dynamometer function shows graphs and table format dyno-reports, allowing you to see what horsepower and torque numbers your vehicle is putting down. It also automatically corrects data reports to Standard Temperature and Pressure (S.T.P.), giving accurate reports under different atmospheric conditions.
A handy and high-tech gauge package allows users to setup on-screen displays that show multiple readout or selectable gauge styles. As many as 16 functions can viewed in digital format, with combinations of one, two, or five readouts in analog format. Read available for display are RPM, mass air flow, transmission temperature, spark advance, engine knock, throttle position, and more.
